Empty drop mail folder

The customers EPiDesk stops logins when there are too many messages in the IIS drop mail folder (C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Drop). Is there a way to prevent this from happening or a simple way to automatically empty the folder every now and then? Any suggestions appreciated!
